Frequently Asked Questions


How long will I have the room? 
You can party away from 8 AM – 2 AM. If you have a four or eight-hour rental the hours will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Can I extend the rental period?
18 hours isn’t enough? For $100 per hour, you can extend the celebration.

Can I use any caterer?
MAEC knows that food is an important aspect of any party. As such, MAEC allows any caterers without charging a service fee. You can even do potluck style!

Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes! Your host liability insurance allows you to supply your own alcohol from any store. Paid bars will need licensed bartenders or a caterer with a permit to sell alcohol. Open bars simply require someone 21 or over to serve drinks.

Does MAEC supply linens?
Currently, you will need to purchase or rent linens from a separate vendor.

Are candles allowed?
While MAEC hopes your celebration is #lit, we can only allow tea lights and candles submerged in water in our event rooms.

When will I receive my damage deposit back?
MAEC will contact you within one week if you have lost part of your damage deposit. If you have not been contacted within a week of your event, you should accept to receive your damage deposit back in full. Please allow 30-60 days to receive the check through the mail. It will be sent to the address on the check or address supplied on the contract unless otherwise specified.

Can we hire someone to remove the ceremony chairs prior to our reception?
Need more space for dancing the night away? MAEC can supply a crew to remove ceremony chairs for $185.

How many tables and chairs come with my room?
All rectangular tables are 6′ by 30″. MAEC’s round tables are 60″.
